With misty morinings and cooler nights, gardening does tend to slow down at this time of year... but we reckon it doesnt have to.. its a wonderful time to hunt around the house, yard, or a visit to your local D.I.Y store and get totally creative with container gardening!

Mums & Dads! Start Gardening With Your Kids!

Kids love gardening, it’s never too early to get started. Kristyna (photo left) learns why it is important to stake and tie tomato plants. Check out the following CKG prize winners on this page for some awesome inspiration!

Introduce kids to growing their own food and show them how interesting nature can be. The most important thing is to make it loads of FUN! Spark your little gardener’s interest by an introduction to mud pie making, some hands on pest control, watering the garden or making a tepee!

What better place than a garden for all the senses to come alive with birds, butterflys, the smell of mint, the taste of sugar snap peas, the colours of flowers, fun with water... a toddlers paradise!

Congratulations to Grace a Cool Kids Grow competition winner (photo left) Grace, whom at nearly four years of age helps her mum with planting their vege patch, watering the garden, and watching the corn grow bigger than her! From Bean Teepees to Sunflower Houses!

These boys are totally awesome CKG winners! in all senses of the words. Yes! they have won a Cool Kids Grow Goodie Bag filled with awesome goodies to keep the inspired with their gardening activities!

Just as importantly, they are a true inspiration for all, with their gardening adventures - hands on all the way through with building/growing their Sunflower house. Then getting to play and picnic on their growing adventures inside their sunflower house... AS IT GREW!... What proud parents they must have!

As expressed by the boys; We dug out a trench and filled with compost. The door way was wide enough for the lawn mower to get! We also planted beans, violas, and popcorn in amongst the giant and red dwarf sunflowers. We love having our snacks inside in the house... READ MORE:
